Speaking of the faithful dog who waited day after day for his master to return at Shibuya Station, it is the ``loyal dog Hachiko''. It is so famous that it has even been the subject of movies. So, do you know who the master Hachiko was waiting for?

That person is Hidesaburo Ueno (from Hisaimotomachi), who became Japan's first professor of agricultural engineering at Tokyo Imperial University (now the University of Tokyo).

Therefore, a bronze statue of Mr. Hidesaburo Ueno and Hachiko was made next to Hisai Station!
