A 2000 year old olive tree! You can see the only old tree in Japan up close. An olive farm and strawberry orchard spread over a vast land of approximately 58,500 square meters adjacent to Nagashima Resort. A new direct sales store that manufactures and sells foods and processed products such as olives and strawberries produced in-house has opened.

The shop stocks high-quality olive-related items carefully selected from Japan and overseas, with a focus on NagashimaFarm 's original products.



Approximately 160 items (approximately 110 food items, approximately 50 miscellaneous items) including popular olive oils, seasonings, sweets, miscellaneous goods, skin care products, and seasonal products, as well as attractive overseas items and gift items featuring the color and shape of olives. ) are complete.




The adjacent olive farm also has an olive oil press, and during the harvest season (late October to early November), you can watch the olive oil being pressed from the harvested olives through a glass window.
Freshly squeezed olive oil is usually sold in limited quantities starting in early November.



At the strawberry farm, you can enjoy a harvest experience (strawberry picking) from mid-December to May, as well as direct sales of freshly picked strawberries and popular strawberry sandwiches.




There is also a cafe inside the store, where you can easily enjoy high quality and delicious coffee from the popular European cafe brand [Costa Coffee]. We also offer homemade desserts and sweets made with olives and strawberries grown on the farm.



◎First in Japan! The only "2000 year old olive tree"
The symbolic tree ``2000-year-old olive tree'' located in the olive plaza (courtyard) at the center of NagashimaFarm will be making its first appearance in Japan. Anyone can tour the museum without prior application.

Judging by the age of the tree based on its size, diameter, and appearance, it was born in the ancient Roman era. It is the oldest existing olive tree in Japan and is truly a power spot! Specifically, based on the thickness of the hollow trunk and the surrounding environment, it is said to be approximately 2,000 to 2,100 years old.
This 2000-year-old tree, which stretches over 10,000km from its native Spain to Japan, is an extremely rare tree and will be the first and last to be transplanted to Japan.
