This is a temple of the Obaku sect, which is said to have been founded by Dengyo Daishi. In ancient times, there was a Shichido Garan on the top of the mountain, which attracted people's faith, but it was destroyed by fire during the Tensho era. In addition to enshrining the principal image of the Eleven-faced Kannon World Bodhisattva, which was the only one that survived the fire, it also houses many temple treasures. Stone Buddha statues are lined up around the approach. There is a large Ohatsuki ginkgo tree in the precincts, which is a prefectural natural monument, and its golden color is spectacular. In addition, around 500 cherry trees are planted around the temple and along the forest road.
A rest area and promenade have been established, and hikers use this as a trailhead to reach the summit of Mt.
From the summit of Mt. Ryozan, which is 765.8 meters above sea level, you can overlook the Iga Basin, where the beauty of each season shines through. Additionally, the Japanese boxwood that grows in the surrounding natural forests has been designated as a natural monument by the prefecture.

Founding year: 810-824
