Song and lantern monument
In 1902, Kyoka Izumi visited Kuwana and stayed overnight at Funatsuya, where she wrote her masterpiece ``Uta Andon.'' A monument with a haiku written by Mantaro Kubota, who later adapted ``Uta Andon'' into a play, is erected on the front wall of Funatsuya.
