Kojinzan Kannonji Temple
Kojinzan Kannonji Temple

During the Edo period, this area was a complex area under the control of the shogunate, the Kameyama domain, and kambe domain, so the police did not keep an eye on it, and the Kannon ceremony at Kannonji Temple was held on April 7th every year, which was crowded with pilgrims. It is said that there were many gambling places in the area.
On April 8, 1866, kambe of Kanbe, who had lost his territory to the gambler ano of Anou of Kuwana, with the support of Nikichi Kira and the Jirocho family of Shimizu, built Kannon-ji Temple. They fought with all their might in the mountains behind the mountain. This later became a famous brawl that became a rōkyoku and a storybook as ``Blood Smoke Kojinzan.''
