洋館の雰囲気漂う洋食店「はいからさん」

文明開化の頃を想わせる床やシャンデリア、出窓、飾り天井など、洋館ならではの雰囲気を持つ店。 この建物は桑名市にある諸戸亭を模した洋館です。諸戸亭は、迎賓館として知られる鹿鳴館と同じ、ジョサイア・コンドル氏が設計した建物です。 いち早く日本に定着した洋食、カレーライスやオムライスはじめ、当店オリジナルのデミグラスソースをお楽しみいただけるハヤシライスやハンバーグをお出ししています。

松阪木綿の専門店「もめんや藍」

松阪木綿の専門店。安価で丈夫、通気性と保温性に優れた木綿に藍染めの粋な縞模様で有名な松阪木綿。その歴史は古く、江戸時代に生まれました。もめんや藍は、その松阪木綿の反物はもちろん、カジュアルな衣服や、生活小物も取り揃えています。建物は桑名の街道筋にあった民家の外観を参考に立てられたもので、入母屋づくりの屋根には、鬼瓦に楓、いぶし瓦の軒先は糸車があしらわれ、瓦焼きの大黒さまも鎮座しています。
