When you think of salvia, many people may think of red, but the salvia planted at Suzuka Flower Park is called blue salvia, and has a lavender-like purple color. (By the way, blue salvia is commonly known as Salvia farinacea.) This flower is resistant to heat, so it blooms vigorously from early summer and brightly colors the west entrance plaza of the flower park.

At Suzuka Flower Park, "Blue Salvia", "Melanpodium (yellow)", "Marigold" (red), and "Torenia (white/pink)" are currently blooming in the flower bed in the west entrance plaza. There is also a fountain in the west entrance plaza, which provides some relief from the summer heat. The park is quiet on weekdays, but on weekends it is crowded with children playing in the water.
