InabeCity Ugakei starts from [Ryu no Koba] ~ Full of cafes and shops ~

掲載日:2023.08.08

Ugakei in InabeCity is popular for its campgrounds with glamping facilities such as "Nordisk Hygge Circles Ugakei."

The Ugakei Tourist Information Center Ryu no Koba, operated by the Ugakei Tourism Association, is the starting point for the Suzuka Seven Mountains, including Mt. Ryugatake and Mt. Suna, and is the starting point for enjoying Ugakei by playing in the river.

Events are held from time to time to let you relax at the cafe and enjoy Uga Gorge, such as ``Waterfall Tour'', ``Yoga'', and ``Ishigure Tea Ceremony'', which take you around the six scenic waterfalls.

If you come to Ugakei, please stop by here first!

Ryu no Koba, operated by the Ugakei Tourism Association, is the starting point of Ugakei in Daian-cho InabeCity which is the starting point for the Suzuka Seven Mountains, including Mt. Ryugatake and Mt. Sunayama.

It can be used as a tourist information center for Ugakei, where you can submit your mountain climbing registration, obtain a mountain climbing map, and before climbing the mountain, and there is also a cafe space.

I actually often stop by the Ryu no Koba cafe and participate in events such as the Ishigure Tea Enjoyment Party and the Five Falls Tour.

Here you can sample the specialty Ishigure tea, and there is a wide variety of Ishigure tea available, as well as a comprehensive introduction and guide to InabeCity.

A relaxing space with a wood burning stove!
The cafe menu is also increasing rapidly.

Available to anyone.

A popular post-climb ice cream ice cream topped with tea powder, 400 yen.

There are two types: special fresh green tea powder and roasted green tea.

The soft serve ice cream made from ouchiyama milk has an exquisite aroma and flavor of tea.

The other day I ordered iced coffee with cream and Inabe's plum soda, both were delicious!

It looks like the menu will continue to expand.

There are also shops selling souvenirs etc.

We have a variety of local teas.
Climbing badges are also cute!
This is a leech repellent spray sold by a company in Mie Prefecture called "Hirsagari no Johnny" which is currently popular.
Woodworks by local artists are also on sale!
camping supplies

There is also a shop selling souvenirs such as the famous stone green tea, mountaineering pin badges designed by the staff of Konara Cafe in Ugakei, as well as firewood and camping supplies.

We also have ``Hirsagari no Johnny'' to protect against leeches, the natural enemy of Suzuka's summer mountains, and a first aid kit.

When you think of Ugakei, you think of Mt. Ryugatake. The view from the stacked rocks along the way is wonderful, and the colorful flowers you can see are wonderful.

There are also sand mountains, "Gosho Falls" and "Nagao Falls" in the second and third photos, as well as "Shirataki", "Uodome Falls", "Tsubame Falls" (closed to traffic as of August 7th), and "Gokai Falls". The refreshing waterfall tour is also popular.

However, due to recent rain, the mountain trail is often closed, so please check the Ryu no Koba official website for the latest information.

My recommendation is Mt. Ryugatake when the white palm trees are beautiful.

The 4th photo is in spring, and the 5th photo is in fall. In both cases, from a distance, the lumps look like sheep. In the spring, the ``white sheep'' greets you, and in the fall, the ``red sheep'' greet you. The autumn leaves seen nearby are also wonderful.

Please come and visit Ugakei, which is rapidly evolving this summer!

Nordisk Hygge Circles UGAKEI

Please check the official website for details.

“Hygge” is a word of Danish origin that expresses a way of spending quality time, a way of living, and a way of thinking. It refers to a relaxing and comfortable time and space, and the sense of happiness that can be gained through that experience.
Japan's first outdoor field, a collaboration between Denmark's outdoor brand "Nordisk" and InabeCity, Mie Prefecture, opened on April 3, 2023.

In addition to the riverside free site ``Wild CIRCLES'' where you can enjoy the nature of Ugakei as it is, there is a permanent tent site ``Hygge TENT'' packed with Nordisk characteristics. And at the cabin site "Hygge CABIN" where you can experience the highest quality of hygge, you can enjoy camping where you can enjoy a rich time that you cannot experience in everyday life through the magnificent nature of Ugakei.

Gentle food prepared by a kind owner and his wife. The shaved ice made with homemade syrups such as sugar cane, kabosu, and yuzu is exquisite!

Fujiwara Satoyama Club (Kaorin)

nice to meet you. I am Kaorin, a new member of Mie Travel Ambassador 2023, from the Fujiwara Satoyama Club, which is mainly active in the Hokusei area.
Although I was born and raised in Mie Prefecture, I was able to appreciate the beauty of my hometown Mie by taking pictures with my camera.
Once a year in spring, the Fujiwara Satoyama Club and all the people who take pictures of Inabe hold the "Inabe Photo Exhibition."
This year, I want to enjoy all of Mie, not just Inabe.
I love photography and eating out, and I'm always on the lookout for seasonal flowers and delicious food.
With the themes of "Enjoying the Seasons," "Enjoying Life," and "Local Affairs for Local People," we would like to convey even a little bit of the charm of Mie in 2023, with a focus on the Hokusei region.
