At TobaAquarium in Toba City, Mie TobaCity, a baby brother and sister small-clawed otter born in May are now open to the public.
Two baby brother and sister small-clawed otters were born in May of this year. The male, Ren, and the female, Tsukushi, were born in good health and were raised by hand-feeding by caretakers.
He has grown rapidly and recently started eating fillets of fish such as horse mackerel and capelin in addition to milk! They are active and energetic, often playing around with each other and being pampered by their keepers.
The small-clawed otter "Ren" and "Tsukushi" can be seen in the space next to the walrus tank in the L zone "Water Corridor".
