At the entrance is the “ice flag” that marks the Kuwana shaved ice road!When you enter the store with excitement, you will find a retro atmosphere that will make you feel like you have traveled back in time to the Showa era. The soothing music allows you to relax and enjoy your time.There is a wide variety of shaved ice on the menu, including the classic "Strawberry Milk" (720 yen), "Uji Milk Kintoki" (950 yen) and "Kuromitsu Kinako Ice" (870 yen).There were more than 10 types, including ``. I'm also happy that you can add vanilla ice cream or red bean paste toppings for 150 yen.I chose the milk coffee (770 yen).” I received it!

Coffeekan Hasegawa's shaved ice is so big that I'm so happy! But it's not just big! The ice was so fine that no matter where you ate it, it soaked up the flavor, and it had a very strong flavor! It has a strong coffee taste, so it goes perfectly with sweet milk! When you scoop up the liquid that has melted into the bowl and drink it, you will be shocked! ``Mi, mi, milk coffee!!!!!!'' This was a shocking joy for me, who usually gulps down the water that has melted and diluted at the end when I eat shaved ice. This is now both "shaved ice" and "milk coffee"!

Next, from the first store, Coffee-kan Hasegawa, we drove for about 10 minutes to Kuwana Teramachi-dori Shopping Street. Surprisingly, this shopping street is a shopping district where you can visit 3 shops on Kuwana Shaved Ice Road! This time, we visited two of these stores: Okashishi Hohoya Teramachi branch and FRUITS SNOW! (I visited another store, Daikokuya, and it looked very delicious, so I plan to visit again!)

As you enter the Teramachi Dori shopping street from Teramachi Square and walk a little further, you will see the long-established Japanese confectionery shop Okashishi Hohoya, which was founded in 1920. I ordered "Kuromitsu Kinako Warabi Mochi (600 yen)" and had it outside.

Scoop up the ice with a spoon and it will turn out crispy! And the taste of elegant black sugar syrup. It goes perfectly with soybean flour, and it's a shaved ice from a Japanese confectionery shop! I enjoyed the Japanese taste! Warabi mochi was a good chopstick rest (spoon rest?), and I couldn't stop eating it from shaved ice → warabi mochi → shaved ice → warabi mochi, and finished it all in no time ♪ Hohoya can eat and drink both inside and outside the store. Yes, it is possible, but the outside seating is in an arcade in a shopping street, avoiding direct sunlight but allowing a nice breeze to pass through, so you won't get too cold and can enjoy your shaved ice to the last drop, compared to eating in an air-conditioned room. It was a great answer!

Next, I came to "FRUITS SNOW". It is also located in the Teramachi-dori shopping street. Here you can have "fruit shaved ice that doesn't use water or syrup"! I ordered the "Peach Shaved Ice (1,550 yen)" and it was so big that I cried out as soon as it arrived, and it had a huge impact! The ice cream is fluffy and soft, and the taste is made up of two layers: milk and peach, so you won't get tired of eating it.Furthermore, each peach is sweet and juicy! The peach shaved ice is seasonal and will end around Obon.

The fourth one is "MuGi cafe"

If you go through the Kuwana Teramachi-dori shopping street from north to south and turn left, you will immediately see a stylish signboard. When you open the door, you'll find yourself in a store with a somewhat nostalgic atmosphere. This seems to have been renovated from an old folk house from the early Showa era, and it has a spacious and relaxing space. As the name of the shop suggests, the cafe is particular about ``wheat'' (Kuwana glutinous wheat), and was born from the idea that ``I want people to know the deliciousness of Kuwana glutinous wheat.'' This time I went to try the shaved ice, but after seeing the delicious-looking menu, I couldn't resist and ordered the Kuwana Mochi Wheat Pancakes (800 yen).

I couldn't imagine the taste at all from the word black honey lime, but it was shockingly delicious! The dark sweet taste of black sugar syrup was refreshed with lime, and it had an addictive taste similar to the spice of craft cola, and I finished it in no time! The pancakes I ordered together were chewy and chewy thanks to Kuwana's glutinous barley and careful preparation, making this a very filling dessert that was a bit different from any other pancakes I've had before!
