Cafe in MatsusakaCity Enjoy exquisite sweets made by a 24-year-old female pastry chef at a stylish cafe with a Korean theme
掲載日:2023.10.24
We would like to introduce you to Cafe aToDe, a Korean-style cafe in MatsusakaCity Mie Prefecture, which opened this year and which I found on SNS and became interested in!
The interior of the store, where K-POP and K-CHILL music plays, is bright and open during the day, and indirect lighting creates a moody atmosphere at night.
The inorganic and tasteful interior is a very fashionable and cute cafe that you might find in the Yeonnam-dong area of Seoul, South Korea. That is Cafe aToDe.
The sweets made by the 24-year-old manager from MatsusakaCity City, who is also a pastry chef at this shop, include Korean sweets such as tungkaron and craffles, as well as classic cheesecakes and limited-time cakes made with seasonal fruits. It's very delicious. (I took a lot of photos)
As for the drinks, of course the coffee and latte are delicious, but they also have seasonal and trendy colorful drinks that look great, so I thought this cafe could be used by people of all ages, so I took a look at the shop with lots of photos. Let's share the charm!
I would be happy if you could read it till the end ^^
Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays 11:00-18:00
Night cafe only on Fridays and Saturdays 19:00-22:00
The exterior, interior, and atmosphere of the store are as follows.
(11 photos)
This is what the store looks like inside and out! During the day, the atmosphere is bright and there are counter seats, seats on stairs, and table seats.
The neon tube logo is their trademark, and no matter where you take a photo in the store, it will stand out, making it easy to post on SNS. lol
The location of the store was easy to find as it was along the road, and the parking lot was easy to park.

Cafe open every Friday and Saturday night
At night, the atmosphere of aToDe changes completely, with the lights turned down and the space creating a moody atmosphere with only indirect lighting.
The night cafe is open every Friday and Saturday from 19:00 to 22:00.
There is also a parfait menu available only at the night cafe.
Now, I would like to introduce the sweets menu.
Cheesecake
First, let's start with the recommended cheesecake. (In addition to the plain version, there is also a matcha cheesecake made with extravagant amounts of Nishio matcha that goes perfectly with sweets. On this day, I had it brûléed as an option.)
When it comes to cheesecake, you can understand the store's thinking and ability. This shop's cheesecake will not disappoint!
It's a rich and slightly sour cheesecake with plenty of cream cheese, and it's not as baked as a Basque style, but has a firmer texture and smoother texture than a baked style. It has a lot of vanilla beans, has a good aroma, and has a rich taste. It was a simple yet rich and deeply flavored cheesecake.
By the way, the base is lotus cookies, which go well with the brûléed cheesecake, and seems to have a slight cinnamon flavor. If you want to eat delicious cheesecake, we highly recommend aToDe.
lemon aid
The second photo is Lemonade made with butterfly pea, which has become a hot topic on social media as a ``drink that stands out''. Butterfly pea is a natural food coloring made from a blue-flowering leguminous plant native to Southeast Asia.
The flower contains a lot of anthocyanin, a polyphenol with antioxidant properties, and has anti-aging effects. Since anthocyanin is alkaline, it reacts with the acid in the lemonade below, changing its color from the original blue to purple as shown in the photo, and then to pink when mixed. It was interesting, like a science experiment, but it was also very delicious as a drink. I think it would be a great conversation topic, so why not order one?
Shine Muscat shortcake
And the third photo is Shine Muscat shortcake. There was a lot of fresh Shine Muscat in it. Since it contains a lot of muscat, the cream is less sweet to bring out the flavor of the ingredients, resulting in a very gentle seasonal shortcake. It was delicious (distant eyes)
*This menu is a seasonal menu for a limited time only. Please contact the store for the end date.
The fourth one is a bonus.
I'm currently learning from the store manager how to take photos that look great (lol). They say it looks great if you take photos in front of the seats on the stairs, so please try taking photos like this!
Although I don't have any photos, they also have croffles (croissant dough baked in a waffle maker), which is a very popular Korean sweet, so be sure to check it out.
And when I looked at Instagram, I saw cute pound cakes etc. I would like to try this next time too!

"From menus whose period has ended"
This black sesame pudding, which has a cute monotone color, is limited to 10 servings per day and was only available for a limited time (ending on October 13th), so you can't order it now, but I still remember the time I ate this pudding. I am.
The ice cream is shaped like a snowman, with a chewy black sesame pudding on the bottom and a head made from ouchiyama Milk, a local brand. We then poured a rich black sesame sauce on top.
The exquisite combination of the aroma of black sesame, the flavorful ice cream, and the rich black sesame sauce is unforgettable. I look forward to the next time the lineup will appear again.
Menu price
・Black sesame pudding 620 yen
*The 500 yen iced coffee in the back of the photo is the regular menu.

"Takeout menu"
Korean sweets, Tungkaron and Croffle are popular take-out menu items.
Tuncalons are an evolved version of the French macaron, and are characterized by being large and filled with cream, meaning "fat macaron." Since it originated in Korea, it is also called "Korean macaron".
Anyway, it's cute, isn't it? The Halloween-only Tunkaron is also available for take-out only, so why not take it home?
Croffle is a popular menu item that is not only available for takeout, but is also available as a regular in-store menu, so be sure to check it out!
Menu price
・Tunkalon 450 yen/piece
・Halloween limited Tunkalon 470 yen/piece
(If you purchase 4 pieces of Tunkalon, they will be placed in a box like the one in the picture)
・Craffle (salted caramel, chocolate chocolate, cream cheese maple, 780 yen)
We recommend the Halloween-only roll cake available until October 31st (Tuesday).
Halloween is almost here, but this is a ghost roll cake that is only available for this time of year!
The black roll fabric made with bamboo charcoal powder is chiffon fabric, so it was fluffy and chewy.
The cheese cream inside was mixed with a lot of chopped chestnuts boiled in astringent skin, and it was really delicious!
The highlight was the chocolate. Each eyeball has a different eye, so it's fun to see what kind of ghost will appear ^^
Also, it comes with a bright red berry sauce, so you can add it to your liking to make it even more Halloween-like (lol).
a! And this is just a story here, but if you look at the Instagram highlights, there is a secret spell written, so try saying it at the store when ordering!
It seems like something good is going to happen.
As part of the Halloween limited menu, it seems that Halloween-specific tunkaron will also be available until October 31st (Tuesday). (2nd photo)
This one is super cute too!
Menu price
・Halloween roll cake 600 yen
・Halloween Tunkaron 470 yen/1 piece
*This is only available for a limited time until October 31st.

And from this fall, it seems that it will be possible to rent out the venue privately with a wedding party plan that can be used ``after'' the wedding.
Of course, it can also be used for parties such as birthday parties, so why not give it a try?
