In Mie Prefecture, there are various spots where you can see the spectacular scenery of autumn leaves, such as mountains dyed red with autumn leaves, places where you can enjoy both autumn leaves and the beauty of valleys, and shrines with beautiful carpets of fallen yellow ginkgo leaves.

Mizusawa Maple Valley (YokkaichiCity)

Mizusawa Momiji Valley, located in YokkaichiCity, Mie Prefecture, is a beautiful 200 meter valley with about 300 autumn leaves and ginkgo trees growing in clusters, and from the tea fields that spread across the autumn leaves tunnel, you can see YokkaichiCity and Ise Bay as well.

Kawachi Valley is a beautiful valley in Tsu City, TsuCity, created by the interweaving of giant, strangely shaped rocks and the clear stream of the Anogawa River. Near Monzengafuchi, the entrance to the gorge, the maple leaves on both banks of the beautiful arched Oshita Bridge are turning red, and you can see the beauty of the gorge created by the clear water and rocks washed by the clear stream.

Mt.Gozaisho is located in Komono KomonoTown, Mie Prefecture, and the leaves change color sequentially from the summit to the foot of the mountain over a period of about a month and a half.
The vivid colors created by the red of Ericaceae, yellow of Lauraceae, and green of coniferous trees are a spectacular sight, and can be seen from the air on the ropeway or while climbing.

TenkaizanTaiunjiTemple is a temple located in the Hase district of Iidaka-cho, MatsusakaCity Mie Prefecture, and is popular as the Kannon goddess of child-giving. During the fall foliage season, the ``Hakkaku Dosho'', a tangible cultural property of Mie Prefecture, that hangs within the shrine grounds is decorated with vivid autumn colors.
The best time to see autumn leaves is from early November to early December.
Mie Prefecture also has other famous places to see autumn leaves, such as the autumn leaves at TheAkame48Falls, the autumn leaves of the ginkgo trees at Tsukuda Shrine, Shohoji Temple in InabeCity, and the Kitabatake House Ruins Garden.
