Every year, cherry blossoms reach their peak in late March in Mie Prefecture.
In TsuCity, located in the Nakasei area of Mie Prefecture, cherry blossoms are expected to bloom on March 24th in 2023, and full bloom is expected on March 28th. This year, cherry blossom festivals will be revived in some places, so I'm looking forward to cherry blossom viewing even more♪

Cherry blossoms on the Miyagawa River (IseCity)

Miyagawa Tsutsumi is a line of cherry blossom trees in full bloom stretching for 1km along the riverbed of the Miyagawa River that flows through IseCity.


It has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots, and is illuminated during the peak cherry blossom viewing season.


There will be no stalls in 2023, but the cherry blossoms will be illuminated from March 25th (Saturday) to April 9th (Sunday).

Mitaki cherry blossoms

Mitaki cherry blossoms (TsuCity)

Approximately 500 wild cherry trees are in full bloom along the 1.5 km path from Ise Honkaido to Shinpuku-in, making it look like you're walking through a tunnel of cherry blossoms!


It has been recognized as a nationally designated scenic spot and one of Japan's top 100 cherry blossom viewing spots.


The best time to see the cherry blossoms is about 10 days later than the Somei Yoshino cherry trees, and the approach path has a difference in elevation, so you can enjoy cherry blossom viewing for a long period of time from the beginning of bloom to the cherry blossoms in leaf.


It is also a popular spot for photographers looking to take pictures of cherry blossoms reflected in rice fields.

Cherry blossoms at KyukaPark

KyukaPark Sakura Festival (KuwanaCity)

KyukaPark popular place for KuwanaCity to relax, is home to approximately 450 cherry trees, including Yoshino cherry trees, weeping cherry trees, and wild cherry trees.


From Saturday, March 25th to Sunday, April 9th, 2023, night illumination will be held from sunset until 9:30 pm.


Additionally, this year we will be holding a ``Kuwana Castle moat tour'' (charges apply). How about enjoying an elegant cherry blossom viewing experience from a boat in the moat of Kuwana Castle ruins?
