Aoyagi, a meat udon specialty restaurant, is run by Gyugin Honten, a long-established Matsusaka meat restaurant that has been around since the Meiji era, and is a restaurant where you can easily enjoy meat udon in a casual space.

The store is located near the Matsusaka Castle Ruins (Matsusaka Park), a nationally designated historical site, in a corner of the quaint townscape of Uomachi, MatsusakaCity City, and across from the former Hasegawa Jirobei House, a nationally important cultural property.

The large signboard with the store's name on it is impressive.

Get your ticket now at the ticket vending machine at the entrance! From the extensive menu, I ordered the ``Donburi + Meat Udon Set (with small bowl)'' for 1,980 yen.

The staff kindly taught us how to operate the ticket vending machine.

The restaurant has 8 counter seats and 20 table seats.

The large, bright windows overlook the well-maintained courtyard, giving you a great sense of freedom.

It came after a while!

There's so much meat that you can't help but say, "Wow!"

And this sense of volume. Meat udon and beef bowl made with plenty of Matsusaka beef, and a nice small side dish.

As expected from a restaurant run by a long-established Matsusaka meat shop, the meat is particularly juicy.

The udon noodles have a strong flavor and are very filling.
