The Mitsumata colony in Misugi-cho, TsuCity, Mie Prefecture is a famous spot for the Mitsumata flowers that herald the arrival of spring.

Mitsumata flowers bloom in golden yellow in the first half, and in the second half, when the yellow petals have fallen, they change to silver, creating an even more magical scenery. Mitsumata flowers can be enjoyed twice: "Golden Mitsumata" and "Silver Mitsumata."

The spectacular view of white pom-pom-shaped flowers spreading out in the forest is like a silver fairy floating in the air, giving visitors a gentle feeling.

Mitsumata is a deciduous shrub, and its bark is known as a raw material for Japanese paper. The tip of the branch is divided into three parts, and yellow flowers bloom at the end.
