Mitaki's cherry blossoms are lined with more than 500 wild cherry trees. It has been certified as one of the ``100 Cherry Blossom Spots'' designated by the country as a scenic spot, and is a famous cherry blossom spot that marks the end of the cherry blossom viewing season in Mie Prefecture.
The cherry blossoms in Mitaki reach their peak bloom about a week later than in the city, but this year they bloom earlier than usual, and the peak season for wild cherry blossoms is approaching.
The mountain cherry trees, which have many old trees and give a sense of history, extend for 1.5km along the approach from Ise Honkaido to Shinpuku-in Temple, and you can admire them as if you were passing through a tunnel of cherry blossoms.
Because the approach to the shrine has a difference in elevation, you can enjoy viewing the cherry blossoms for a long period of time from the time they begin to bloom until the cherry blossoms are in leaf.
