Kawazu-zakura is an early-blooming cherry tree that reaches its peak blooming a little earlier than Someiyoshino.
At Daijiji Temple in Shima City, ShimaCity, the cherry blossoms are in full bloom about 10 days earlier than last year, making it the best time to see them.
The Kawazu cherry blossoms at Daijiji Temple were carefully grown from several trees received from Izu, which is famous for its Kawazu cherry blossoms, and are called ``Tenrei cherry blossoms'' after the name of the previous priest.
Please enjoy the spectacular sight of the precincts filled with pink Kawazu cherry blossoms.
