Mitsumata flowers, the forest fairy that herald the coming of spring, bloom throughout the 70-year-old forest, creating a fantastic sight that resembles a golden carpet.
Every year from mid-March to mid-April, the yellow flowers bloom on the tips of the three branches, and the view of them blooming on the mountain slope from the observation deck is spectacular.

Mitsumata is a deciduous shrub whose bark is known as a raw material for Japanese paper. The tip of the branch is divided into three parts, and yellow flowers bloom at the end. It is a cute flower that looks like a round pom-pom with small flowers gathered together.
