掲載日:2024.04.08

The cherry blossom trees along the Jyushi River are a great spot for cherry blossom viewing, just a short walk from Kintetsu Tomita Station. It is one of Yokkaichi's most famous cherry blossom viewing spots, and many people visit every year to see the cherry blossoms.

Row of cherry blossom trees along the narrow river🌸

Approximately 600 Yoshino cherry trees are in full bloom along the banks of the Jushikawa River, stretching for approximately 1.2 km. This line of cherry blossom trees began to be planted as a commemoration when companies along the Jushikawa River were incorporated, and their history dates back to 1923.

The cherry blossom trees along Tosikawa are long, and the atmosphere is slightly different on the west and east sides of the tracks.

There are bridges here and there, so it's easy to get to the other side and walk, but cars also use the embankment road. Please be careful while enjoying your cherry blossom viewing.

You can still enjoy it even after it's in full bloom 🌸

Because the Tosikawa River is narrow, the cherry trees are close to each other, creating a very immersive experience. Even after the cherry blossoms have passed their peak, the sight of the falling petals and the flower rafts that form on the water's surface are another highlight.

The Toshikawa Cherry Blossom Festival was held from Wednesday, March 27th to Friday, April 5th, 2024, but unfortunately the cherry blossoms bloomed late this year, and we were unable to attend in time for the best viewing of the cherry blossoms. We look forward to seeing them again next year.

This photo was taken on April 4th.

Kintetsu Tomita Station is located in the center of the 1.2km long row of cherry blossom trees, so it's convenient to visit by train.
