A healing sauna with the theme of health and beauty will open on April 1st at Yuyu Kaikan, a natural hot spring bath in YokkaichiCity that provides a time and space that gently satisfies both mind and body. Yuyu Kaikan is reborn and continues to evolve
Yuyu Kaikan has been popular as a day-trip hot spring facility for 37 years, and reopened in October 2022. In order to let guests enjoy spaces other than the bath, a book lounge with 12,000 books, a nesting space, and a nap room are also open. There is also a co-working space and a children's space, so it has been reborn as a space that can be enjoyed by three generations, from grandparents to grandchildren. Furthermore, from April 2024, a healing sauna will be added, evolving into a spot full of charm.
How is it different from traditional saunas?
The indoor bath at Yuyu Kaikan has a sauna with a high temperature of approximately 90℃. It's popular among sauna lovers because you can lie down in a spacious space and there's a TV, but there are many people who don't like the heat, so the bathhouse is separated by gender.
The newly opened healing sauna will be located in the book lounge, separate from the bathhouse. It's a space where you can enjoy wearing your indoor clothes, so both men and women can enjoy it together.
The healing sauna has three saunas and a cooling room with a temperature of approximately 15℃.
You can relax and enjoy the sauna at a low temperature of approximately 50℃ with the theme of "warmth". You can also bring in manga from the Book Lounge to read in this sauna.
The meditation sauna, which is heated to approximately 50 degrees Celsius and has the theme of "meditation," has no unnecessary decorations, and is a meditation space where you can close your eyes and enjoy the state of nothingness.
The "heat" themed sauna is around 70℃ and you can even do self-loulu. The steam and aroma that envelops your body will leave you feeling refreshed and relaxed.

The Book Lounge also has a co-working space. High-speed Wi-Fi and power outlets are also available. The work here is going well. Actually, I wrote most of this article at this coworking space. There is also a cafe right next door, so if you feel sleepy, you can have a coffee and take a break.
