[Nokan] The best hospitality for your beloved dog! A hot spring inn in the Ise-Shima area with a private dog run in every room

掲載日:2024.04.15

Nokan, which opened in March 2024 in the Ise-Shima area, a popular tourist destination, is a hot spring inn where all rooms are detached and guests can stay with their beloved dogs. All rooms have private dog runs, and the hotel offers a wide range of additive-free menus, desserts, and amenities for dogs, making it a great choice for those who want to spend a special time with their beloved dog.

In this article, we will introduce the atmosphere of the rooms at Nokan, the cuisine made with ingredients from Mie Prefecture, and hospitality tips.

Relaxing Japanese modern room

The rooms at Nokan have a relaxing atmosphere with the scent of wood. There is also a sunken kotatsu table, and the Japanese modern atmosphere is also soothing. In addition, the rooms are equipped with a refrigerator, water heater, coffee maker, and other amenities, so you can feel like you are at home.

The bath and washroom are stylishly constructed with a concrete-like material, and amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and loungewear are also provided.

The hot spring is "Shinmisato Onsen" in Tsu TsuCity, Mie Prefecture. The water has been selected as one of the three most famous hot springs, and when you bathe in it, your skin feels smooth as if a thin film has been spread over it. You can see the greenery while soaking in the bath, so you'll find yourself soaking for a long time.

All rooms have private dog runs

One of Nohiro's features is that all rooms have a private dog run. The photo shows the room with the second largest dog run, which was too large for my dogs Sora and Kou to play in.

It is separated from the dog run in the next room, so even dogs who are shy and scared of dogs like Ko-kun can enjoy it. Since they won't meet other guests, owners can let their beloved dogs play in their roomwear or without makeup, which is nice.

The dog run is equipped with doggie trash cans where you can throw away used etiquette bags and dirty dog pants, as well as a foot washing area for dogs.

One of the joys of staying at an inn is the food! Nohiro's food is a beautiful full-course meal that uses plenty of ingredients from Mie Prefecture. The chef has trained at a Michelin-star restaurant.

First, the appetizer was seasonal Ise-Shima fish sashimi and a colorful salad, and the main course was thick but tender Matsusaka beef with fond de veau sauce. The soup was also luxurious and contained a whole local oyster.

Since we visited in March, we had lightly sweet sakura mochi and seasonal strawberries for dessert, the perfect palate cleanser after enjoying a luxurious full course meal.

Introducing the finest hospitality points

Nokan offers the ultimate hospitality not only to owners but also to their beloved dogs. One of the attractions of Nokan is in-room dining. Both dinner and breakfast are served in the room, so you can spend all your time with your dog during your stay.

Another great thing for dog lovers is the wide range of dog amenities available, including dog training pants and belts in various sizes, wet tissues, food bowls for dogs, and even water.

They even provide insect repellent for your dog, so even during mosquito season you can rest assured that your dog will be able to play in the dog run attached to your room.
