We will introduce events where you can see carp streamers flying energetically in the skies of Mie Prefecture from April to May.
The sight of countless carp streamers dancing in the breeze all at once in the sky makes anyone who sees them feel cheerful. With the upcoming holidays approaching, why not go out and see the carp streamers dancing under the blue sky?
In this topic, we will introduce in detail the events where you can see carp streamers held in Mie Prefecture.
The carp streamers flying up into the sky are very impressive.

Swim! Carp streamers (Carp streamers at ShichiriMihamaBeach)
Location: ShichiriMihamaBeach (KumanoCity)
Event period: April 28th (Sun) to May 6th (Mon/Holiday), 2024
About 250 carp streamers fly on ShichiriMihamaBeach KumanoCity. The carp streamers fly up into the sky for about 1 kilometer from Shishiiwa Rock with the vast ocean of Kumano Nada (Pacific Ocean) in the background. It's really refreshing!
*It is extremely dangerous to view this while driving along National Route 42, so please park in a nearby parking lot.

Let's go to the spring festival! Lots of carp streamers!! (Carp streamers at Mie Prefectural Cultural Center)
Location: Mie Prefectural Cultural Center (1234 isshinden TsuCity)
Event period: Thursday, April 25th, 2024 to Monday, May 6th, 2024
Carp streamers will be displayed at the Festival Square and Knowledge Square of the Mie Prefectural Cultural Center (Soubun).
Colorful carp streamers donated from within and outside the prefecture fly energetically through the blue spring sky.
Carp streamers will also be on display in the walkway above the indoor main entrance! Carp streamers will be swimming energetically down the walkway, which has been specially decorated to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the opening of the museum.

Carp streamers in the Kamitaki area of Misugi Town
Location: TsuCity, Tsu city
Event period: Saturday, April 27th to Monday, May 13th, 2024
In the Kamitake area of Misugi-cho, TsuCity, Mie Prefecture, about 70 carp streamers are displayed in two tiers and swim energetically through the beautiful mountain area. You can also see the carp streamers swimming in the sky from the Misugi Michi-no-eki.
