Introducing spots where you can enjoy the gorgeous Hanachozu in Mie Prefecture!

Hanachozu is a water basin in which seasonal flowers are floated in a chozusha, a place where people wash their hands and mouth before visiting a temple or shrine.
Decorated with seasonal flowers and unique designs, Hanachozu has a pure beauty that is soothing to the soul. It is also popular as a photogenic spot for people who visit temples and shrines to receive a "shrine stamp."

We will introduce a carefully selected list of shrines and temples in Mie Prefecture that have beautiful Hanachozu!

*Please note that as Hanachozu decorations mainly use fresh flowers, the type of flowers and design may change.

Mizugaki-JinjaShrine (SuzukaCity)

Address: 1412 SuzukaCity Suzuka City
Mizugaki-JinjaShrine is the main shrine of Tamagaki in Suzuka SuzukaCity, Mie Prefecture, and is a shrine listed in the Engishiki with a history of 1,300 years. Japanese umbrellas are displayed in various places in the shrine grounds, and Hanachozu and temple seal are popular, both of which change color and content with the seasons.

Tsubaki Tsubakinakato-JinjaShrine (SuzukaCity)

Address: 1181 SuzukaCity Suzuka City
Tsubakinakato-JinjaShrine is a merger of Tsubaki Shrine and Nakato Shrine, and its deities include the road-opening god Sarutahiko-no-Okami, Ame-no-Sawano-Mikoto, and Nakatsutsuno-O-Mikoto.
The "Hanachozu fountain" in the temple grounds is decorated with flowers, with the flowers and color changing every month. "Seasonal goshuin" stamps decorated with the sacred lion's head and seasonal flowers are also distributed each month.

Kanai Shrine (InabeCity)

Address: 911 InabeCity, Inabe City
Kanai Shrine, located in Kitaganai, Inabe-cho, Inabe InabeCity Mie Prefecture, is a shrine characterized by gorgeous Hanachozu and colorful goshuin stamps.
This shrine is known as one of the first shrines in Mie Prefecture to start Hanachozu, and you can enjoy the gorgeous and stylish Hanachozu.

Take Shrine (MeiwaTown)

At Take Shrine, we create Hanachozu using local flowers and gifts.
On the day the full moon rises every month, the ``Full Moon Shrine & Moon Market'' is held, where Hanachozu are lit up and goshuin (shuin) stamps exclusive to the Full Moon Shrine are distributed.

Kazahaya no Sato (TsuCity)

Kazahaya no Sato is a soothing flower spot where you can enjoy plum blossoms from February to March, wisteria from April to May, and hydrangeas from June to July. During each flower season, the flowers and designs are changed periodically, offering a variety of different designs.
