Lake Nameri, located in MatsusakaCity Mie Prefecture, was constructed in 1973 as an agricultural irrigation dam, and is popular for its beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring, azaleas and fresh greenery in early summer, and autumn leaves in the fall.
You can walk all the way around the lake, and part of it has been developed as a trim course for walking or jogging.
There is also a gazebo on the lakeside where you can relax in the beautiful natural surroundings, making it a spot where you can refresh both body and mind throughout the four seasons.
We will show you Lake Nameri in May, when the season of fresh greenery is in full swing.
Recommended for a walk in early summer! The fresh green leaves of the maple trees are as beautiful as paper cuttings!

Walk or jog on a trim course!
Part of the lake perimeter is a trim course, with signs indicating the distance. You can use this as a guide for walking or jogging, or to build up your physical strength.
In some places, trees grow on both sides of the road, allowing you to walk under a tunnel of autumn leaves. From around May, you can enjoy a walk through a tunnel of green maples.

On a calm, windless day, the surrounding mountains and blue sky are reflected on the lake surface, creating a wonderful reflection. The vast, unobstructed view is quiet, beautiful, and deeply soothing.
