With the full summer season fast approaching, we will be introducing information on the opening dates of swimming pools across Mie Prefecture.

We've picked a wide range of pools, from multi-purpose pools that will make you want to go swimming in the summer of 2024, to public pools that are perfect for practicing your swimming skills, pools where small children can play safely, and infinity pools that look like they're connected to the beach.

According to the Japan Weather Agency, this year's rainy season is expected to be short and the weather will be extremely hot, so be sure to cool down in the pool and enjoy the summer to the fullest 🏊🏻

We'll introduce you to some spots where you can have fun in the water, including natural pools created by damming rivers, flowing water pools, and children's pools!

Jyonohama Pool & Beach (KihokuTown)

Business period: July 13th (Saturday) to September 1st (Sunday)
"Jyonohama Pool & Beach" in KihokuTown. There are two types of pools: an infinity pool and a children's pool. The children's pool has attractions so you can enjoy it to your heart's content. In the summer of 2024, a fantastic "night pool" will open at this spectacular pool!

A natural pool created by damming the Tado River. You can enjoy the refreshing feeling that only a natural pool can offer! This is a natural swimming spot where you can splash around in the cool water of a natural river. It's a little different from the pools you usually go to, and you can enjoy a swimming experience that feels like splashing around in a river.

Enjoy the summer in one of the world's largest pools! Nagashima Spaland Jumbo Seawater Pool is the largest in the world at 75,000㎡! The vast grounds are filled with pools and water slides that everyone from kids to adults can enjoy in the summer! On July 6th, the world's largest water slide, "Mega Abyss", will be newly opened!

A pool themed around adventure, discovery and exploration that makes use of the natural terrain. There are pool areas suited to the age and development of children from birth to elementary school age, with five pools and four slides for the whole family to enjoy. "Adventure Baby" is the perfect area for babies to make their pool debut, and features a shallow "Baby Pool" with a depth of just 15cm, and a "Kids Flowing Water Pool" with a depth of 30cm where they can float around on a swim ring.

MisugiResort Fire Valley Water Park is a pool surrounded by beautiful nature. The water slides with three different heights, the space ball that drops straight into the water, and the lazy river are all very popular with children! There is also a shallow pool so even small children can enjoy it.

Event period: July 6th (Sat) and 7th (Sun), 2024, July 13th (Sat) to 15th (Mon/Holiday), July 20th (Sat) to September 1st (Sun)
A summer-only pool in a lush park. Equipped with a flowing water pool, a mountain stream pool, and two slides, it is one of the largest in the Nansei area. The ozone purification system keeps the water clean, so even small children can play safely.

Mie Prefecture also has other pools and spots where you can have fun in the water, such as the Ise Kaguraba Resort Sen no Sennomori water pool in IseCity, the InabeCity City heated pool which just opened in April this year, and the Ozato Waterfront Park Natural Pool in KihoTown!
