Examples include milk vetch and clover that can be seen in fields in spring.

What to see in the sunflower fields south of JR Seki Station

The sunflowers I recommend are:FieldLet me introduce some of the highlights.

・Rural areas rich in nature

sekicho KameyamaCity is located near the southern end of the Suzuka Mountains, so there are mountain ranges relatively close to the north, south, and west of the sunflower fields.

It is also an area rich in nature, so you can enjoy the scenery of the mountains and sunflower fields,

I like the fact that I can relax and enjoy observing the insects that visit.

・Long viewing time

sunflowerfields south of JRSeki Stationappear to have been planted in three layers when I visited in late June 2024. When added to the map provided by the KameyamaCity Tourism Association, the locations are as shown in the image above. The flowers have been planted so that their flowering periods can be staggered so that they can be enjoyed over a long period of time. The

One side looks like this (see above):

The other side looked like this (above ↑), and the degree of growth was clearly different.

Generally, sunflowers have a lifespan of about one to two weeks once in bloom, so if you stagger the season the bestviewing times will change, and you can enjoy them from July to mid-August.

The long period during which the flowers are in full bloomis a big attraction,as it makes it easier for people who are busy and find it difficult to find time to visit, and for those who would like to visit again.

By the way, as of the end of June, there were only a few sunflowers left, but some had buds!
I'm looking forward to seeing them bloom!!

I love Mie Prefecture. On my days off, I enjoy supporting Mie Prefecture in various ways, such as going out to photograph nature, landscapes, flowers, and events, and sometimes appearing in events or participating as a volunteer staff member.
Using this experience, I would like to spread the word about Mie's attractive seasonal flowers, famous spots, and scenery that will make you want to go!
