This year, the start of July has us eagerly awaiting the end of the rainy season, but the season of full-scale summer is just around the corner! Some temples and shrines in Mie Prefecture are distributing "July-only Goshuin" (red seals of the temple that change every month), and many people visit to pray in search of these monthly Goshuin.

We will introduce temples and shrines where you can receive goshuin stamps designed with summery motifs, such as the Tanabata event on July 7th, summer flowers such as sunflowers and morning glories, and wind chimes swaying in the breeze.

Why not visit a temple or shrine to show your gratitude and receive a July-only goshuin stamp?

Goshuin theme: "Plumeria", "Whimsical Cat and Tanabata", "Kasuga Shrine x Summer Pilgrimage Cutout Goshuin"
The limited edition goshuin stamps for July are the "Plumeria" goshuin stamp, a collaboration with "Hankoya Fukuchan," and the "Whimsical Cat and Tanabata" goshuin stamp, a collaboration with "RORO COLORE." And the "Summer Pilgrimage" papercut goshuin stamp has been released. The Kuwana Suigo Fireworks Festival is depicted in a dynamic design with detailed papercuts! There are only 300 of each color, black, light blue, and red plum.

Special Goshuin "Tanabata/Goldfish" (written only)
The theme of the monthly goshuin for July is "Morning Glories and Green Autumn Leaves." The goshuin features a refreshing morning glory flower and green autumn leaves blooming under the summer sky. In addition, the special goshuin features the romantic silhouettes of Orihime and Hikoboshi, and a coolly swimming goldfish, giving two types of goshuin that will make you feel the beginning of summer.

The July Goshuin stamp of Tsubakinakato-JinjaShrine has a summer design of male and female heads admiring flowers. It is a beautiful Goshuin stamp with sunflowers and lotus flowers. You can get Goshuin stamps in the season when you can't wait for the end of the rainy season at Tsubakinakato-JinjaShrine, which has a beautiful Hanachozu fountain.

Goshuin theme: "Summer pilgrimage goshuin" and "Tanabata goshuin"
The July-only goshuin stamp is the "Summer Pilgrimage" stamp, decorated with sunflowers and wind chimes. Additionally, you can get the Tanabata goshuin stamp only from July 5th to 7th.

Tanabata Goshuin: Limited to July 5th (Fri) to 7th (Sun), 2024
Reception hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
First fruits fee: 300 yen

Goshuin theme: "Oyodo Gion Festival" and "Tanabata Goshuin"
Takejinja Shrine's July limited goshuin stamps are based on the Oyodo Gion Festival and Tanabata designs. They will be available every Saturday and Sunday in July.

Distribution period: Saturdays and Sundays only from July 1st (Mon) to July 31st (Wed), 2024
Reception hours: 10:00am - 3:00pm

Isenokuni Shitennoji (TsuCity)

Goshuin theme: "Tanabata and Kannon"
On Tanabata day, when you look up at the Milky Way and think of Orihime and Hikoboshi, it is our hope that you will also think, even for just a moment, about the miracle of our existence in this world. There is also a special summer-only Yakushi-sama goshuin called "Princess's Prayer" (shining ink) and a special goshuin called "Fireworks and Good Fortune Sanmen Daikokuten" (gold lettering). Each goshuin is written in gold lettering by the chief priest.

Reception hours: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Distribution location: Nokyojo next to the main hall
