At KyukaPark in KuwanaCity, azalea flowers are in full bloom earlier than usual.
KyukaPark is home to approximately 550 azaleas, including the Hirado azalea and Omurasaki azalea, and the bright pink azaleas delight the eyes of people walking through the park.
The "Azalea Festival" will be held from May 1st (Monday) to May 15th (Monday) to coincide with the blooming of azaleas, and will be held on May 2nd (Tuesday) and May 3rd (Wednesday, holiday) during the period. The "Goldfish Festival" will be held at the same time at Chinkokusyukoku-JinjaShrine in KyukaPark.

This year, the "Goldfish Festival" (May 2nd and 3rd) at Chinkokusyukoku-JinjaShrine in KyukaPark will be revived for the first time in four years.
The annual ``Goldfish Festival'' Chinkokusyukoku-JinjaShrine begins with a ritual to enter the spirits, and children lively parade around carrying mikoshi in the shape of various goldfish from each shrine parishioner town.
On the day of the festival, goldfish sellers will also be selling goldfish. Why not visit it along with your azalea tour?
