At "Red Hill Heather Forest" in Tsu City TsuCity, more than 1,500 roses of about 400 varieties are in full bloom for spring! (Best viewing period scheduled until around the end of May)

TsuCityThe roses in the rose garden in Red Hill Heather Forest, a woodland in Akatsuka Botanical Garden, are at their best time of the year.
The Rose Garden has over 1,500 roses of 400 varieties planted on a site of approximately 2,500 square meters, including ``Colline Rouge,'' which means ``Red Hill'' in French, and mainly varieties that bloom all season.
The garden, supervised by Kosei Ohno, a rose grower who works as a ``rose stylist,'' has areas divided into areas, including English roses, a perennial rose corner where you can enjoy a collaboration of perennials and roses, and a perfume corner with a collection of fragrant roses. A theme is set.
You can also see the rose ``Colline Rouge'' (meaning ``Red Hill'' in French), which was created to commemorate the rose garden by Junko Kawamoto, one of the few female rose breeders in the world.
The spring roses that endure the cold winter and bloom all at once are full of volume. Enjoy the world of colorful and beautiful roses blooming all over.

In June, the hydrangeas are at their peak in Red Hill Heather Forest and Hydrangea Garden, and the water lilies in Red Hill Heather Forest bloom throughout the summer.
At Akatsuka Botanical Garden's proud garden, you can enjoy a flower relay that starts with weeping plum blossoms (Suzuka Forest Garden) in February and continues through summer with cherry blossoms, rhododendrons (Rhododendron Garden), wisteria, roses, hydrangeas (Hydrangea Garden), and water lilies. Please enjoy.
Two days, Saturday, May 27th and Sunday, May 28th, 2023.
The event will be held at Red Hill and the adjacent farmers' market Asatsumi.
