Takashi Tsunodata
A performer of the lute, a classical stringed instrument that was loved in Europe from the Middle Ages to the Baroque period.
In the 1970s, he studied at the lute department of the Cologne University of Music in Germany, and after returning to Japan, he was active in supporting the early days of early music in Japan. Particularly focused on vocal ensembles, he has appeared in many concerts and music festivals both domestically and internationally with song programs from England in Shakespeare's time and Italy in Caravaggio's time.
He is the director of the period instrument band ``Tabratura'', the producer of the early music CD label ``Pardon'', and has also created music for stage plays, movies, and broadcasts, spreading the joy of lute music to a wide range of people.
