The 36th osatsu Whale Festival
Date: Sunday, July 14, 2024
The 36th osatsu Tenno Whale Festival is a seasonal summer event in osatsu.
The festival starts at 10:00 a.m., and after a grand parade of whale mikoshi portable shrines, the morning session ends with the throwing of red and white rice cakes and sweets.
The afternoon session will include karaoke from 3:00 p.m., entertainment and song shows from 5:00 p.m., and a dance performance by the Mie High School dance club, followed by a 30-minute fireworks display to mark the finale of the festival.
