The annual ``Musha Parade'' centered around Lord Gamo Ujisato begins with a marching ceremony at the National Historic Site of Matsuzaka Castle and continues to GojobanYashiki and samurai residences in the former Doshin Town. The large procession of 200 people, including samurai in armor, Ujisato's wife Fuyuhime, and a gun squad, is very impressive. It is crowded with many onlookers.

About 400 years ago, Lord Ujisato Gamo became the first lord of Matsuzaka Castle and is loved by the citizens as a great local figure who built the foundations of the commercial city of Matsusaka. After the war, the ``Ujisato Festival'' began as a citizen festival to honor Lord Gamo Ujisato.
