This garden is associated with the Kitabatake clan and is a nationally designated scenic spot and historic site.
Along with the autumn leaves, there are also many elegant attractions such as Karesansui and a rice pond shaped like a rice character. The structure, which skillfully takes advantage of the natural topography, is also called a Muromachi garden and is full of rustic charm.
Don't miss the large ginkgo tree inside the shrine grounds.
