Date: Late November to early December every year

The sasanqua tree in the Kayumi district, which juts out into the tea fields, is estimated to be over 150 years old, and is a large tree with a height of approximately 11 meters, trunk circumference of approximately 1.5 meters, and branches approximately 15 meters north-south and approximately 12 meters east-west. It is a sacred kounogi for the guardian deity.
It blooms beautiful pink flowers every year, and the contrast with the yellow of the ginkgo in the background is a sight to behold.
Since it was designated as a city-designated natural monument in 1998, it has been enjoyed by many people thanks to the generosity of people, even though it is privately owned.
