Raigoji Temple Flame Festival

Date: September 28th every year

Make a wish to the flame that rises in the darkness

Candles with the names of the people prayed for are lined up to form a letter for the year.
Worshippers join their hands in front of the illuminated letters that appear in the darkness of the shrine grounds, and pray for the safety of their families, prosperity in business, and more.
