1. The charm of “Kisara Bettei TOKI”
``Kisara Bettei TOKI'' is an inn with a great view on a hill facing Toba Bay.
It has a luxurious structure with only 10 guest rooms on a vast site of approximately 6,800 tsubo, and the charm of Toki is that you can enjoy the ocean view from every guest room.
① 10 guest rooms with a “blue” theme that blends into Toba’s sea and sky
Each room has a traditional Japanese blue color name, such as ``Ruri'', ``Gunjo'', and ``Hanada''.
It's wonderful that the design blends in with the blue colors of nature, such as the sea and the sky, and the blue color throughout the room.
②All rooms have open-air baths and indoor baths
*Towels are used with special permission.
All rooms have an open-air bath and an indoor bath, so you can soak in the hot springs whenever you like.
The hot springs are from the natural hot spring "Shaguji Onsen".
Shaguji Onsen is the same hot spring in the Sakakibara region of Mie Prefecture, which is called Nanakuri, one of the three famous hot springs in Sei Shonagon's ``The Pillow Book'': ``Nanakuri-no-Yu, Arima-no-Yu, and Tamatsukuri-no-Yu.'' Something from the source.
Soaking in the thick spring water, which is famous for its beautiful skin, will completely relax your body and mind.
③ Gourmet food with a focus on local production and local consumption
One of the attractions is the meals, which are made with a focus on local production and consumption, and incorporate plenty of seasonal ingredients.
The meals created by the head chef's new ideas are truly ``gourmet food'' that pleases both the eyes and the palate.
2. Room with open-air bath and facing Ise Bay
Hanada
``Tan'' is a type of room where children can stay together.
If you make a reservation under the family plan, you'll be happy to know that a baby cot or single-sized extra bed (for elementary school children only) will be provided.
Meals are served in the tatami-floored dining space in your room.
It's perfect for those who want to enjoy their meals in a private space.
You can enjoy the beautiful sea view from the living room.
In addition, two types of Toki's original blended coffee are available in the guest rooms.
Both of the coffees served by Nakamura Coffee, which provided coffee beans at the First Lady Luncheon at IseShimaSummit, are delicious.
It's also nice to relax in your room while drinking and comparing different types of coffee.
The view from the open-air bath is enchanting.
It's such a luxury to be able to soak in a hot spring and enjoy the scenery whenever you want, whether it's in the evening when the sun is gradually setting, late at night when the stars are twinkling, or early in the morning when the sun is rising.
Tan also has a footbath.
It might be a good idea to have a nice cold drink while warming your feet.
The structure is such that you can enjoy the view of Toba from the indoor bath.
You can also enjoy taking a bath in the indoor bath depending on the weather and your mood.
Flower navy blue (Hanakonjo)
``Hanakonsei'' is a guest room for adults only.
The living room and bedroom are separated, making it a different floor plan from Tan.
Dinner and breakfast at Hana Konsei are served in a private dining room outside your guest room.
Each guest room has different characteristics, so you can try changing the room you stay in every time, and you'll have something new to enjoy no matter how many times you visit.
3. Local production for local consumption. Meals featuring seasonal seafood and mountain delicacies
dinner
Dinner is made with carefully selected local seasonal ingredients, and the menu changes with the seasons.
Based on the concept of "Isshin Ekigen" (meaning the opening of a new era), the dishes created with new ideas are beautiful to look at and taste exquisite.
Some of the dishes include rare dishes such as lobster yukhoe. My heart is pounding when I encounter new gourmet food.
The photo on the left is "Mie prefecture spiny lobster with fritmeyer lemon sauce."
Meyer lemon is a special product of Mie Prefecture, and when combined with spiny lobster, it becomes a ``Mie-rich'' dish.
The flavor of the spiny lobster and the refreshing aroma and sourness of the Meyer lemon complement each other.
The top right photo is "Matsusaka beef tail stew with paprika sauce."
Matsusaka beef is said to be stewed for 8 hours.
Matsusaka beef is carefully stewed and has a deep flavor.
In addition, fresh sashimi such as fatty Nada tuna, crunchy abalone, tiger puffer fish, and amberjack are also irresistible (photo below).
This is "Sea bream harvest steamed".
The fluffy and soft sea bream meat is filled with chewy rice and other ingredients such as Ise chicken, making it a fun dish with a contrasting texture.
Enjoy your meal slowly and carefully, one by one. This is a moment of bliss.
breakfast
Breakfast also uses plenty of locally produced ingredients, such as spiny lobster and seafood from Toba, as well as vegetables and rice from local farmers.
The dried Toba fish will be roasted over a fire (top left of the photo).
You can also roast seaweed from Momotori in Toba and enjoy it as roasted seaweed.
Roasting both dried fish and seaweed brings out their delicious aroma.
The miso-flavored spiny lobster (top right photo) is a masterpiece made with a rich shrimp stock.
(Bottom photo, from left) Minced Nada tuna, spicy stew of local arame made by the proprietress, and shigureni of Matsusaka beef, all of which have a flavor that goes perfectly with rice.
4. Enjoy the moment even more. Recommended way to spend your time
Wearing a yukata and Ise-Momen obi
Toki has beautifully designed yukata and yukata obi.
The yukata obi is an original Ise-Momen obi made by Sukaya Gofukuten in Taki-cho, Mie TakiTown.
The stylish pattern will make your trip even more exciting.
By the way, the kimonos worn by the staff were also made by Sukaya Kimono using Matsusaka cotton. Ise-Momen and Matsusaka Momen are both produced in Mie Prefecture, but they have completely different patterns and textures. Please check it.
Relax in the free lounge
We also recommend spending time in the spacious free lounge.
You can see the sea from the free lounge, so you can relax and enjoy the view.
Books and magazines are placed in the mini library corner.
It might be a good idea to look at a travel magazine and think about the itinerary for the next day's trip.
Drinks and snacks can be enjoyed at the free lounge.
All drinks and snacks provided are free, including alcohol.
The drinks lineup is wide ranging from soft drinks such as black tea, hojicha, and 100% fruit juice, to beer, whiskey, gin, and lemon liqueur.
I love that you can enjoy it in your own way, such as mixing the liqueur with a soft drink to make cocktails.
You can also enjoy freshly poured Ebisu beer at the beer server in the free lounge.
Additionally, you can bring drinks and snacks into your room.
Enjoying a drink while soaking in the footbath, or enjoying a drink while admiring the view from the balcony will make your stay in your room even more enjoyable.
Carefully selected souvenirs from Toba and Mie
The souvenir corner features carefully selected Toba and Mie items.
There are also some rare souvenirs that you don't often find at regular souvenir shops, such as salt produced on the remote island of Toba, Kamishima.
Be sure to check it out during your stay in Toki.
The photo on the left is "Arashima Oil Star☆" (960 yen including tax).
Oysters caught in the Anrakujima area of Toba are pickled in oil. This popular product is delicious when mixed with pasta or spread on baguette.
The photo on the right is "Toba Cider" (320 yen including tax).
This cider uses underground water from the clear Miyagawa River, and has a refreshing, nostalgic taste.
