Shiojitei is an inn where you can experience the charm of Ise and the culture of Mie.

Shiojitei is a Japanese-style inn adjacent to Toba Kokusai Hotel located in Toba TobaCity Mie Prefecture, where you can experience the culture of Ise, Toba, and Shima and IseJingu during your stay. This time, after actually staying at Shioji-tei, I will thoroughly explain the charms of the relaxing space inside the hotel, the specialty cuisine, the baths, etc.!

Accommodation with the same feeling of traveling to IseJingu

Shiojitei is located facing Toba Bay in TobaCity City, Mie Prefecture, making it the perfect location for touring the Ise, Toba, and Shima areas, with IseJingu at its center.

Inside the hotel, you can feel and experience Mie's culture, such as the traditional crafts of this region, such as Ise Katagami and Ise-Momen, which are ``an inn unique to this area.''

Surrounded by Mie's traditional culture

The lobby lounge and garden overlooking Toba Bay are filled with Mie culture.

Ise pattern paper

Ise Katagami is a traditional craft with a history of over 1,000 years and has been designated as an important intangible cultural property by the country.
The first thing you see when you enter the building is this Ise Katagami paper pattern displayed on the wall in front of the front desk.

Ise Katagami experience

Not only can you enjoy looking at Ise Katagami, you can also experience carving it yourself.

Here, we will be trying to create bookmarks that are easy for even beginners to try.
As the detailed work continues, I can't help but forget about the interview and get immersed in it!

ise library

A library where you can enjoy local materials from Ise, Toba, and Shima as well as the history of IseJingu.

Lobby lounge tea scent (Sanoka)

Lounge adjacent to Ise Library.
You can enjoy the view of Toba Bay, the garden, and the night view of Sadahama Marine Terminal.

Cheesecake and Ise GreenTea hospitality

At Shiojitei, when you check in, you will be provided with cheesecake and Ise GreenTea from the adjacent Toba Kokusai Hotel!

Take a breather while admiring the view of Toba Bay and the lush garden.

As soon as we arrived at the inn, our luxurious time began.

Bamboo light

At night, bamboo lights welcome guests at the entrance.
The soft light spilling from the bamboo creates a dreamlike atmosphere, giving the entrance a different look than it does during the day.

Shioka terrace

The terrace in the garden facing Toba Bay, which can be seen from the lobby lounge Cha no Kaori, is Shioka Terrace.

In front of Shioka Terrace is Sadahama Marine Terminal, and you can watch the regular ships coming and going from the terrace.

During the interview, I also had the opportunity to talk with a couple from the Netherlands who came to stay at Shiojitei.

Shiojitei, where you can experience the culture of Japan and Mie, is said to be popular not only with Japanese tourists but also with foreign tourists.

The view from the terrace is wonderful not only during the day but also at night.

The glittering lights of the marine terminal and ships at night create a romantic atmosphere on the terrace!

guest room

This time we stayed in a "Japanese Modern Twin" room.
It was characterized by a calm interior that combines the calmness of Japanese style and the comfort of Western style.

You can see Shioka Terrace and Toba Bay from your room.

The night view floating over Toba Bay that can be seen at night when the lights are turned off is especially magical.

Dinner “Dining Shiroishi”

Next, we will introduce the meals at Shiojitei.

Shiojitei has two restaurants: ``Dining Shiroishi'' and ``Teppanyaki Seishi''.
In this article, we will be heading to "Dining Shiroishi", which is famous for its dishes that use plenty of seafood and mountain products from Ise-Shima!

All seats at this restaurant are in semi-private rooms, so you can enjoy exquisite cuisine to your heart's content in a private space.

It is a course meal, and when it is served, you can't help but look forward to the colorful dishes.

Of all the things I ate that day, the one that left a particular impression on me was the fragrant fried lobster.
It was a flavorful dish with the aroma of fragrant shrimp filling your mouth!

``Hot Spring Tokowaka no Yu''

At Tokowaka-no-Yu, you can enjoy two types of hot springs: a pearl aurora bath and a therapeutic spring.

The Pearl Aurora Bath is an open-air bath where you can soothe your fatigue with the sparkling hot water made from pearl ingredients.
This hot water was developed for Shiojitei by Mikimoto Cosmetics, a company from the Mikimoto Group that was the first in the world to successfully cultivate pearls, and the power of the pearls can be expected to have a moisturizing effect on your skin.
*Pearl Aurora bath is not a hot spring.

The indoor bath is a therapeutic hot spring that is said to be effective against sensitivity to cold, arthrosis, and muscle pain.

In addition, the baths at Shioji-tei are fully equipped with facilities such as a sauna and amenities exclusive to Shioji-tei from Mikimoto Cosmetics, making for a very satisfying bath.

What I was personally happy about was the vending machine in front of the bath that sold Yamamura Dairy Ice Cream.

Yamamura Milk is a milk shop loved by Ise locals that also operates at IseJingu" Geku参道" and Naiku before "Oharai-Machi".

This is the expression on my wife and child's face as they hold Yamamura Dairy Ice Cream, which has a distinctive rich milk taste!

This ice cream is recommended after a bath, so be sure to buy it when you visit.

Furthermore, Lobby Lounge Cha-no-Ko offers roasted marshmallows at night.

When you smell the aroma of roasting marshmallows, it's a sign that it's time to eat.

At night, we were able to enjoy a warm marshmallow in the relaxing atmosphere of the lounge and spend time together as a family.

Breakfast “Dining Shiroishi”

Breakfast is also served at the same restaurant as dinner, Dining Shiroishi.

Breakfast, just like dinner, offers dishes that make use of colorful seasonal ingredients.
At Shiojitei, each and every item of the healthy breakfast was carefully prepared.

Head to Shioji-tei, an inn where you can experience the charm of Ise and the culture of Mie!

This concludes the introduction to Shiojitei.

This time, we have selected some of the most memorable parts of our stay as a family and introduced them along with the photos we actually took.

Shioji-tei is well-located for sightseeing in Ise-Shima and allows you to experience the local culture, making it the perfect inn to spend quality time.

When planning your trip to Ise-Shima, be sure to include a stay at Shioji-tei in your plans!

Hanachiro

A father and mother of two naughty daughters and a selfish son who live in IseCity.
There tends to be an increase in photos of children looking like idiots (lol), but do they look energetic, fun, and cute? We are active with this motto!

After actually going out with my family, I'm sharing the charms of Mie that I highly recommend.
