About the 30th anniversary ShimaSpainVillage

The theme park "ShimaSpainVillage" in Isobe-cho ShimaCity City, Mie Prefecture, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary in April, will hold a 30th anniversary event "ShimaSpainVillage 30th Anniversary ¡Buen viaje! Surely Rediscovery" in 2024. It started on February 10th!

30th anniversary event

ShimaSpainVillage opened on April 22, 1994. "Buen viaje" is a Spanish word that means "Have a nice trip."
Throughout the 30th anniversary year, there will be many events to help you rediscover the new charm of ShimaSpainVillage!

I brought my 6-year-old and 3-year-old children and had a lot of fun together as a family from opening to closing, so I would like to tell you about the 30th anniversary event and the charm of Spain Village from the perspective of a mom who holds an annual pass. ♪

About the new parade

The first thing I would like to draw your attention to is ShimaSpainVillage Parade ``Espana Carnival Buen Viaje'', which is one of the new entertainments. The parade has been completely redesigned for the first time in 10 years!

Parents and children were immediately captivated by the new parade, perhaps because they were so disappointed when the España Carnival "Adelante" ended.

ShimaSpainVillage Parade ``Espana Carnival Buen Viaje'' is a parade with the theme of ``travel.'' Don Quijote and his friends from the unique ShimaSpainVillage will take you on a colorful and pop ``best trip to Spain.'' He will take you there. Tourists who come to Spain from all over the world rediscover their ``rich soul'' through encounters with people and various cultures such as art, opera, flamenco, and history.

Colorful, artistic designs that incorporate landscapes and fabrics from around the world, as well as entertainers dressed in costumes that express Spanish culture and history, make the parade even more spectacular.

When the entertainer's selfie stick camera comes near you, strike a pose or wave! Your smiling faces will be reflected in real time on the large screen inside the parade float.

Of course, all the characters from ShimaSpainVillage will appear in the parade.

Pop and epic songs that everyone will want to dance to will be repeated endlessly in your head! The parade floats will circle around the park. At the end, a fun dance time will begin at Plaza de Cibeles, where guests can also participate. The choreography is easy and everyone from small children to adults can enjoy it, so please give it a try!

A flamenco show where you can experience the realism of the real Spain without leaving Japan. Daniel Doña, a dancer and choreographer who is highly acclaimed in the world of Spanish performing arts, was selected to present a powerful stage performance by Spanish dancers, with the theme of flamenco's past, present, and connections to the future. I will deliver it.

When you step into the venue, you are in a different space. This is a venue where you can enjoy an authentic atmosphere that will make you forget that you are inside a theme park. The seats are lined up in rows, but there is distance between you and the person next to you, so you can enjoy the show without feeling pressured.

Also, if you let us know when you purchase your ticket that you will be bringing a stroller, you can enter the venue with your stroller. (If you have not been informed in advance, you will not be allowed to enter the park, so be careful!) There is a stroller storage area near the entrance, so of course you can hold your stroller while viewing the park.

In addition, the women's restroom in the hall is equipped with a diaper changing space, so don't worry if your child starts to get upset, you can leave midway! Another great thing is that children under 2 years old can enter for free!

My child also had his eyes glued to his first flamenco show! My 3-year-old son was in a dream, so thanks to him, he was able to watch it carefully.

Speaking of flamenco, the footwork known as ``zapateado'' involves stepping on the floor at extremely high speeds.

The scenes and costumes changed one after another at a bold and fast pace, so the 25 minutes flew by. Photography is prohibited during the show, but after the show, the performers will reappear on stage and there will be a photo opportunity. Please don't leave right away and take a commemorative photo♪

30th anniversary limited gourmet food and ways to enjoy it

A menu celebrating the 30th anniversary will be released. The impactful ``30th Big Parfait'' (6,000 yen including tax), which was inspired by the art of Spanish architect Gaudi, is approximately 40 centimeters tall and serves approximately 4 to 6 people, so it can be shared among groups and families. In addition, you can enjoy ``strawberry sweets'' unique to spring, the hotel's spring lunch, Egg Benedict Burger Set (1,590 yen including tax), and menus using ingredients from Ise-Shima.

Here's a little advice♪

The parade lasts approximately 25 minutes from 12:50 every day (subject to change or cancellation due to weather, etc.), and tends to be crowded during lunch after the parade. If you want to enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner without having to wait in line at the register, we recommend arriving at the restaurant early around 11am!

At Carnival House, located in the indoor attraction zone Piero the Circus in Plaza Cibeles, the game prizes have been changed to a 30th anniversary limited version!

There are three types of games (each game costs 600 yen per game), and the one that is relatively easy for small children to win prizes is the CoroCoro Roulette located in the middle. Roll the ball, and if one out of two balls stops in the lucky hole in the roulette wheel, you are successful!

All you have to do is roll the ball, so it's almost a matter of trying your luck. By the way, my family has tried it three times so far, and this is our second success♪ We got a precious 30th anniversary cute cushion that can only be obtained here, and my daughter was overjoyed♪

Even if you are not successful, you can receive a 30th anniversary limited edition tin badge (Dal-chan or Chokki). My son wasn't successful and got a tin badge, but when he wore the tin badge on his chest, he was approached by cast members in the park, and the characters reacted to him during the parade.

By the way, if two children try the game, it costs 1,200 yen. It's easy to loosen your wallet at a theme park, but wouldn't it be nice if there was a way to enjoy the park at a bargain price?

Now, there is a way to play twice for half the price of 600 yen!

Tanoshimo operated by Chubu Telecommunications Co., Ltd. is a site for the child-rearing generation, and is holding campaigns at facilities where you can enjoy some great experiences at the facilities you go to.

If you register as a community member for free, you will get one free visit to the Clown the Circus Carnival House at Shima Spain Village. There are signboards on-site with instructions on how to register, but we recommend that you complete your free membership registration in advance so that you can take advantage of the campaign smoothly on the day.

In addition to ShimaSpainVillage, we are running campaigns at various theme parks in the Tokai region, so if you are raising children, it is worth registering! The campaign usage history is reset once a month, so you can enjoy it as many times as you like, so my family, who loves going out, has been using it a lot.

Churro specialty store “Chureria” is newly opened

"Churreria", a Spanish sweets specialty store specializing in churros, will open on Saturday, February 10th on Calle España!

At the end of 2021, ShimaSpainVillage 's churros became a hot topic after being introduced by VTuber Sango Shuo as the ``world's most delicious,'' and in 2023, stuffed churro toys will also be on sale. I immediately sneaked into a specialty store where you can enjoy churros!

As you enter the park from the entrance, Chureria is next to the general information on the left.

There is also an eat-in space, and there is also a spot inside the store where you can take commemorative photos♪ Please be sure to take a photo here while having a churro in hand!

There are two flavors of churros: cinnamon and chocolate. The price is 480 yen each including tax.

It was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, and it was so delicious that even my son was smiling ♪ I was planning on eating the churros my kids left behind, but they seemed to like it so much that it didn't even fit in my mouth. . It's perfect for a light meal at ShimaSpainVillage ♪

The last order is 15 minutes before closing, and it was very crowded just before closing. It's close to the entrance, and many people seem to buy before leaving the park, so it's best to arrive with plenty of time to spare.

If you eat in, you can also enjoy the impressive Churroong Strawberry Sundae (1,200 yen including tax), which is made with a whole churro.

Shuo Sango x Ichihyakuman Tenbaru Salome x ShimaSpainVillage collaboration event

Two members of the VTuber/virtual liver group "Nijisanji", "Sango Shuo" and "Salome Ichihyakuman Amagara", will be visiting ShimaSpainVillage from Saturday, February 10th to Friday, May 10th. He has been appointed as a virtual ambassador and is currently holding collaborative events.

We are holding a rally around the park, showing special videos, selling goods and menus featuring original illustrations drawn to commemorate the collaboration, and installing life-sized panels.

On the first day of the collaboration event, many people seemed to be enjoying the plate rally as well as the stamp rally to find plates made with hand-drawn illustrations of Sango-chan and Salome-chan that were displayed inside the park.

The churro specialty store Chuleria that I introduced earlier also sells Sango-chan's delicious churro sundae (1,000 yen including tax), which is a collaboration menu. From March 1st, Salome-chan collaboration menu will be on sale♪

Recommended photo spots

To commemorate our 30th anniversary, the monument at the entrance has been redesigned to resemble a compass, a travel item. This is a must!

A new photo spot where you can take pictures celebrating the 30th anniversary has also opened near the Cibeles Plaza Fountain on Calle España.

There are also four types of 3D art experience facilities within Spain Village. All can be experienced for free: [Toros] has a bullfighting theme, [Cocina] has a kitchen theme, [Colon] has a nautical theme, and the new [Flores] has a flower theme.

You can easily take wonderful photos, so please enjoy taking photos with your family and friends ♪

Although ShimaSpainVillage is a theme park, it has an exotic townscape that will make you feel like you have traveled to Spain. There are many flower beds in the park, and you can enjoy seasonal flowers.

Santa Cruz Avenue in particular is picturesque just by walking, so be sure to enjoy not only the attractions but also the beautiful cityscape.

Points to keep in mind when traveling with children

The park is basically designed to be child-friendly, but there are three baby rooms in the park that are especially easy to take care of babies.

First of all, it is the general information closest to the entrance. A baby room is attached here, and there is a nursing room, a diaper changing table, and a room for lost children. We also sell paid items (powdered milk, baby food, baby bottles, disposable diapers, baby wipes, pants, etc.), so you can rest assured in an emergency!

You can also rent A-type strollers (700 yen per stroller) for children from 1 month old to 4 years old (up to 20 kg) here. If you have any trouble, come here!

Next, we recommend the baby room in Columbus Square. There is a water play area for small children called Chapcha Pragoon in Columbus Square, but even if your child gets wet from playing, there is a changing room in this baby room so you can easily change your clothes. There is also space for hot water, microwave, and baby feeding.

However, there are no restaurants around Columbus Square, only vending machines, so be careful! No change of clothes or towels! In that case, it is the farthest place from Calle España, where children's clothes and character towels are sold.

There is also a baby room next to the Cambron Theater, so be sure to keep these three areas in mind♪

The restroom near Columbus Square has a children's restroom. The toilet here is so cute that it's my daughter's favorite!

The recommended route is to go from Santa Cruz Avenue to Plaza Columbus, take the Cave of the Sun (escalator only), and return to Javier Castle Museum and Colosseum.

Santa Cruz Street has a series of slopes, so if you follow the course I explained earlier from the opposite direction, the uphill climb will be very tiring. (It's especially difficult to push a stroller!) You can fold up the stroller and ride it in the Cave of the Sun. Please use this as a reference.

In addition, the official ShimaSpainVillage app will be released in February 2024! You can check the congestion status of attractions and restaurants in real time (indicated for 20 minutes or more) on the app's map.

Hotel room renewal

Hotel ShimaSpainVillage Village has renovated some of its guest rooms (24 rooms) to celebrate its 30th anniversary. We also have accommodation plans where you can relax before and after your trip in our new guest rooms, ``Buen viaje,'' and special accommodation plans that allow you to enjoy our 30th anniversary to your heart's content!

The renewed room "Buen viaje" is inspired by the "white walls" of the beautiful landscape of the Andalusia region in southern Spain, and the design is accented with bright colors that give you a sense of the sun, giving it a resort feel.

Children will be delighted with the cute room♪

After enjoying a day at the theme park, it's very convenient to be able to walk back to the hotel♪ There is also a hot spring called Himawari no Yu, where you can heal the fatigue of your trip. Also, you can bathe in the hot springs as many times as you like until the night you check out, so you can stay the night before, enjoy the theme park from the morning of the next day, and then go home with just a final bath and a nap. What a plan! You can rent bath towels free of charge even after checking out, so you don't have to worry about having to do more laundry.

You take off your shoes at the entrance to the room, and the bathroom vanity is very spacious and has a step stool, making it easy for small children to use.

The toilet and bath are separated, and there is plenty of space for the washing area and changing room. (Some room types only have a shower booth)

The amenities are MIKIMOTO COSMETICS, so moms will be very happy too♪

Guest rooms offer a panoramic view of the majestic Matoya Bay Inlet (Izanoura).

The inside of the building was also very cute, and there was a photo spot unique to the 30th anniversary♪

Hotel ShimaSpainVillage has launched a plan where you can enjoy a dinner buffet with a 30th anniversary corner!

Menus that have been especially popular over the past 30 years include pasta paella, a combination of local ingredients "Isemadai" and Spain's representative dish "paella," suitable for the 30th anniversary, grilled Ise healthy pork with salt and koji, and rice croquettes. will be lined up in the 30th anniversary corner. In addition, there is a live kitchen with a luxurious lineup of freshly fried tempura and roast beef.

The delicious-looking menu and beautiful presentation will make your heart flutter.

You can also enjoy gourmet food unique to the Ise-Shima region, including tekone Ise-Udon, Ise udon, and sashimi!

The kids corner has Neapolitan spaghetti, fries, hamburgers, fried shrimp, and takoyaki, so kids will love it♪

It would be helpful if there were many menu items that children would enjoy.

Both of my children have food allergies, but when I informed them in advance, they gave me a paper with the allergy information on the buffet menu, so I was able to enjoy my meal with peace of mind.

Of course, sweets are also available! At the strawberry chocolate fountain, you can pick up your favorite fruits or marshmallows and cover them with as much chocolate as you like!
