What is ShimaCity Tourist Farm?

ShimaCity Tourist Farm is a flower spot in ShimaCity where seasonal flowers bloom on a vast site of approximately 7,800 square meters.

Nemophila blooms in spring, sunflowers in summer, and cosmos in autumn. In 2023, Nemophila is scheduled to be open from April 8th (Sat) to May 7th (Sun)!

This year, due to the early blooming of nemophila, the park will open earlier than last year.

About parking lots and fees

ShimaCity Tourist Farm is adjacent to Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima.

There is a sign saying ``Parking Lot Entrance'', so follow it and you will arrive at the entrance.

*Please note that you cannot enter the park from beyond the "ShimaCity Tourist Farm" sign.

The parking lot is located in front of the entrance and has a large parking space that can accommodate about 80 cars!

The entrance fee is 300 yen per person, and children under junior high school age are free! What's more, it's a valuable place where pets can enter for free.

*Opening hours in 2023 are 9:00-17:00
*Please enter your pet on a leash or in your arms.

Inside the park

As you enter the park, you will be captivated by the sight of nemophila spreading out on one side of the gentle hill, resembling a blue carpet.

This year, the scale of Nemophila will be expanded, so I think it will be even more spectacular than last year.

Nemophila petals are nearly circular and are characterized by a pale blue color.

These flowers have a cute fluffy atmosphere, and just looking at them will soothe you♪

They bloom in dense clusters that cover the ground, giving the appearance of a carpet of flowers.

By the way, another name for Nemophila is ``Lapis arabesque'', and in English it is called ``Baby Blue Eyes''.

Can you see moss phlox?

Until the spring of 2022, "Shibazakura" was the main bloom, but from the spring of 2023, the main bloom will be nemophila.

Therefore, the scale of the moss phlox will be reduced, but you can still enjoy the moss phlox in 2023.

It's small in size because it's just been planted, but its cute, dwarf-like appearance may make you excited.

Michi-no-eki Ise Shima

Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima is Michi-no-eki adjacent to ShimaCity Tourist Farm.

We sell seafood and specialty products from Ise-Shima, and you can enjoy seafood bowls at the attached restaurant.

When I come here, I always buy ``Aosa Nori''. The price is cheaper than at the supermarket, so I end up buying about 3 bags lol.

Hamayaki was sometimes sold outside the shop, and I was able to eat freshly grilled turban shells, oysters, and oysters ♫

By the way, the Hiougi shellfish is a shellfish that looks similar to a scallop and is often eaten in the Ise-Shima region.

Michi-no-eki Ise-Shima is located about a minute by car from ShimaCity Tourist Farm, so why not pick up some souvenirs here after viewing the moss phlox?

Yokoyama Observatory

Yokoyama Observation Deck has a terrace overlooking Ago Bay and is about 15 minutes by car from ShimaCity Tourist Farm.

There is a parking lot near the terrace, so you can easily enjoy the ocean view as if you were looking from the top of a mountain.

*If the parking lot near the terrace is full, you can use the Sozo no Mori Yokoyama parking lot. From there it is about a 20 minute walk to the terrace of Yokoyama Observatory.

Early to mid-April, when nemophila are in full bloom, is the season when the fresh greenery in Ago Bay is beautiful! This is also a time when there is little haze, so you can see the islands of Ago Bay far into the distance.

If you're thirsty or hungry, why not take a break at Yokoyama Tenku Cafe Terrace?

You can order light meals, sweets, drinks, etc. made with ingredients from Ise-Shima, and you can see Ago Bay from inside the restaurant.

ShimaMediterraneanVillage

ShimaMediterraneanVillage is a resort accommodation with a Spanish atmosphere, and is about 15 minutes by car from the aforementioned Yokoyama Observation Deck.

You can enjoy a day trip to the village for 500 yen per person, so after visiting Nemophila → Yokoyama Observation Deck, why not enjoy the feeling of being at an overseas resort at ShimaMediterraneanVillage?
