Hydrangea photography techniques
I will tell you some tips on how to take better pictures of the hydrangeas in Kazahaya no Sato.
Blur the hydrangea in the foreground
Instead of just taking a photo of the hydrangea in front of you, you can blur out the hydrangea in the foreground to create a greater sense of depth.
Take a close-up photo of hydrangeas
When photographing a dense collection of hydrangeas, getting closer to the hydrangeas in the foreground will make them more impressive.
An example of not getting close to the hydrangea in the foreground. Even in the same shooting location, the impression changes dramatically.
Children x hydrangeas
When photographing children under elementary school age, a low angle is recommended. Bringing an umbrella will add to the cute atmosphere.
Wet day
Hydrangea doesn't care about the weather. If it's a rainy day, try taking pictures of water droplets on leaves and flower petals.
cloudy day
Cloudy days create a calm and calm atmosphere. When taking pictures of people, holding an umbrella will add to the rainy season atmosphere.
sunny day
Flowers look more three-dimensional on sunny days than on cloudy or rainy days. To make the photo even more impressive, the trick to taking a beautiful photo is to get close to the flower or take a close-up photo of the blue sky.
Fantastic water spray time
There are certain times when water is automatically sprayed, and you may be able to take photos that look like they were taken during a downpour. The shooting location was Koi no WAVE. *Be careful not to get the camera wet.
blur the background
If you want to zoom in and take a photo of a single hydrangea, try blurring the background as much as possible. If you use a lens that can take pictures with an aperture value of F1.8, you can take pictures with bokeh like this photo.
How to know the current flowering status
You can see the current flowering status with photos on Kazahayanosato's official Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook pages.
