Haritaya Fukiage store (IseCity)
The famous "Itoin Senbei" is bite-sized and has a gentle taste. The dough is made from chicken eggs, sugar, and flour and baked into a thin layer, so it has a crispy texture. It is also known as the sweet that was presented to His Majesty the Emperor when he visited IseJingu in 1908. A ``sashiin'' is a copper seal that was attached to raw silk imported to Japan from the Muromachi period onwards.
