Ryufuku-ji Temple is commonly known as Hama no Jizo and houses a stone statue of Jizo. The lord of the Kuwana domain, Sadatsuna Matsudaira, became a deep believer, and in 1633 he ordered Hoin Jiteruyama, the chief priest of the Tozan branch of the Shugen sect, to rebuild the main hall and donate a memorial service. The main hall was rebuilt in the 10th year of the Kyoho period.
After that, due to repeated construction of the Ibi River revetment, the historic site was moved far into the river, and due to the disaster of the Ise Bay Typhoon, it was rebuilt at its current location.
There is a ``Shirao Haiku Monument'' and ``Shirao Mound'' within the precincts.
