This is the ruins of a fort where Momochi Tambakami, a jonin of the Iga-ryu ninja family, lived along with many genin during the Sengoku period. The building was destroyed by fire during the Iga Rebellion.

Around the Momochi Fort Ruins, there are Seiunji Temple, Eihoji Temple, and Shikibuzuka, all of which are associated with the Momochi clan.
