Waterfall protected by the King of Pearls, KokichiMikimoto

This waterfall is also called ``Fudo Falls'' because Fudoson is enshrined nearby.
In the past, when drought continued, people would jump into the basin of this waterfall, purify themselves with salt, and pray for rain. It is said that the haiku poet and novelist Kyoshi Takahama also visited this waterfall around the end of the Meiji period. It is also said that KokichiMikimoto, the world's pearl king, purchased the entire waterfall area as one of Gokashoura's famous spots in order to prevent over-cutting of trees.
