To the south of Kamisaka, along the road in Maemura, there is a large camphor tree that is said to be about 600 years old.
With a height of approximately 36m and trunk circumference of 7.5m, it is the largest tree in the town and has been designated as a natural monument.
It is said that it was planted during the Nanbokucho period, or that it was kounogi when yagami in Kamizaka was relocated.
Ogusu Shrine is enshrined at the base.
