Hosenji Garden

The former Hosen-ji Temple in Tenkei Park was founded by Tenkei Shonin, who established a small hermitage here for the first time in 1659, and later by Bairei, a monk, in 1715.
Since then, it has been known as a famous temple of the Southern Obaku sect for 300 years, and many literary figures have visited here.
It is now managed by the town as Tenkei Park. There is a Hansui pond and maple trees are good.
