Katsuobushi is essential to the food culture of Ise-Shima.
In the Nakiri district of Daio-cho ShimaCity, bonito flakes have been actively produced since ancient times.
KatsuoNoTempaku is made using the old-fashioned hand-made method called "Nakiri-bushi," which is smoked bonito flakes.
While touring the actual smoking hut, you can experience learning about the food culture of Ise-Shima, which is known as the land of food, its relationship with IseJingu, and the production of bonito flakes at Nakiri. (By appointment only)
