Seven-body Jizo Nanatai Jizo

Seven Jizo statues are engraved on the large natural stones on the banks of the river flowing through the mountains of Nichinanda, and six Jizo statues are carved on the stones on the opposite bank, making it known as Meotobuchi. It is said that a long time ago, when a group of only seven soldiers died in battle surrounded by a large number of enemies, the villagers carved seven Jizo statues and held a memorial service there.
