A showcase lined with attractive sweets

The showcase is lined with delicious-looking sweets such as shortcakes and moist chocolate brownies with roasted walnuts.

This baked cheesecake is made with two types of cheese, cream cheese and gouda cheese, and has a rich taste, making it a perfect souvenir. We are particular about the ingredients, using locally grown eggs from Kirara no Sato in Mie Prefecture, and Ayahikari flour, and we bake them slowly and carefully, branding them with the store's name, Palmiere, for an exquisite dish.

Afternoon tea in December is Christmas

With sweets shaped like Santa's hats and savory items shaped like Christmas trees, the city and spirit are filled with the joy of Christmas. Recommended menu for Christmas date.

A cute Santa appears on the first stage

cute santa hat

The top row is Buche de Noel Santa's hat, raspberry and pistachio opera

It's humorous to see Santa cutting the bough de Noel branch with a saw.

Speaking of Christmas, Stollen

Middle row: Stollen, ginger cookies, panna cotta and berry jelly

It's a must-have Christmas staple.

tree and presents

Lower row: Cauliflower mousse with consommé jelly, sea bream branded tree, spinach and homemade bacon quiche

The Christmas tree and Christmas presents are so cute that it would be a shame to eat them.

Break and eat pie

Pie wrappers that are fun to break apart

On a separate plate, grilled chicken fricassee pie

It's fun to break up a crispy pie with a spoon.

I asked the Western food kitchen staff

Afternoon tea is full of fun, and the kitchen staff and bakery staff come up with their own menus, and the head chef and other hotel executives sample the dishes, then put together their collective efforts to come up with the menu. Some customers apparently take photos with the decorations they brought, being careful not to disturb other customers. The strawberry and chocolate afternoon tea that starts at Christmas and January is especially popular, and you can enjoy strawberry and chocolate for two consecutive months in January.

My first afternoon tea was at Miyako Hotel Yokkaichi. I enjoyed the sweets even though I was a little nervous. Three years have passed since then, and afternoon tea has evolved even further. It's playful and approachable, but you can also feel the commitment of the people who created it, and you're convinced that it's a Miyako Hotel. There will also be a Christmas lunch on December 23rd and 24th, so I'm looking forward to that as well.
