During the year-end and New Year holidays, IseCity and the area around IseJingu are extremely crowded with worshipers of IseJingu. Traffic regulations will be implemented to ease traffic congestion, so if you are planning to visit IseJingu during the year-end and New Year holidays, we recommend that you check this in advance.

In this topic, we will introduce traffic regulations around IseJingu during the year-end and New Year holidays, park and bus rides, and exit regulations at the Ise Expressway IC (Ise Nishi IC/Ise IC).

Please be aware of traffic regulations around IseJingu during the year-end and New Year holidays.

During the year-end and New Year holidays, the area around IseJingu is very crowded. During periods when traffic restrictions are in place around IseJingu, there may be times when the nearest interchange exit is unavailable, so please plan your itinerary with plenty of time when visiting IseJingu.

You will not be able to get off the bus during the following times due to exit restrictions.

What is Park & Bus Ride?

Park & Bus Ride is a parking lot in a temporary parking lot near the prefectural Sun Arena (immediately after getting off at Asakuma Higashi IC on the Ise IseJingu Toba Line) to ease traffic congestion in IseCity and around Ise Jingu. This is an initiative that uses running shuttle buses to travel around Naiku and Geku shrines of IseJingu.
